We’re All Attention Seekers

By

Let’s be honest — attention makes us happy. Not all kinds, of course. We crave attention from the people we like, not from those we’d rather avoid.
Attention from the right person feels like joy. Attention from the wrong one feels like boredom.

I’ve always been afraid of misreading people’s feelings toward me. Am I giving them joy, or am I just boring them? When I write, do I make them smile, or do I make them yawn?
That’s why, whenever someone gives me joy, I tell them. So they know they’re not a boredom to me.
Everyone deserves to know that — because knowing you bring joy is what makes you happy.
