Jamón Diplomacy: A Vatican Encounter

By

Picture this: a formal event, polished shoes, serious faces — and me, standing by the jamón table. Then, out of nowhere, the Vatican ambassador appears.
What do you do when diplomacy meets cured ham? You smile, you nod, and you try not to look like you’re negotiating peace over slices of jamón.

It was one of those surreal moments that remind me how life is a circus. Titles, roles, and expectations melt away when you’re both reaching for the same piece of ham.
Sometimes, the most human connections happen in the least expected places — even under the shadow of formality.
